"I’ve had a long and kind of passionate relationship with photography as an artistic medium. I started very young. I made black and white images in a dark room; photos of everything: people, places, things. I sold them to friends, book stores, tourists in New York, anyone who wanted to see them. It’s very much the same these days; make photos and paintings and sell them. It’s fun and challenging."
